French Honor Society

The Société Honoraire de Français aims to stimulate interest in the study of French, to promote high standards of scholarship, to reward scholastic achievements, to create enthusiasm for and an understanding of Francophone cultures, and to promote international friendship. Our Sparkman High chapter was reinstated in 2020. Eligibility is determined by demonstrating the national standards of an A average in French 1 and 2, high academic achievement and honorable character. Students will be invited to join the Sparkman chapter of the French Honor Society in the spring semester immediately after the first term has ended. Accommodations will be made for any student who is eligible but plans to graduate at the end of the first semester. Fees will be determined based on current prices for national membership and graduation cords. No student will be excluded from participating due to financial reasons.
