Alex Holmes III is a graduate of Sparkman High School (Class of 2005), where he earned MVP and Defensive MVP honors while helping lead his team to an undefeated regional championship. He continued his career at Greenville University, earning First Team All-Conference recognition, competed in the NCCAA National Championship, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He is also a Hall of Fame track and field athlete at Greenville. Coach Holmes brings coaching experience at the middle school, high school, and professional indoor levels. In 2022, he founded an all-girls flag football program in Huntsville, which led to the creation of his nonprofit, Pretty Girls Play Like This! (PGPLT). An Eagle Scout, Alex is a devoted husband to his wife, Lauren, and a proud father of two daughters, Laila and Elena. He is passionate about developing the whole person and believes effort, attitude, and character define success.
