Coach Jamie Coggins
Head Boys Coach

Coach Jamie Coggins was named the Sparkman head boys basketball coach in May 2012. Coggins has 25 years of coaching experience at the 6A/7A level with stints at Buckhorn, Bob Jones, and five years as an assistant at Sparkman. He has previously been named The Huntsville Times’ Coach of the Year. He has a bachelors in social science education from Athens State University and a master’s in physical education from Alabama A&M University. He currently teaches American History. 

Coach Jarvis Wilson 
Head Girls Coach

Jarvis Wilson enters his 10th year as a Head Girls Basketball Coach. He is from West Point, MS and attended Stillman College. He came to SHS from Carver – Birmingham High School, where he led a program that had 98 wins in 30 years prior to his hire into a program he leaves with a record of (158 – 63) in his 7 years with the school, becoming the winningest coach in the program leading them to (2) Final Fours along with their first state championship in school history. Coach Wilson has (4) Final Four appearances during his Head Coach tenure with two trips to the State Championship game. The first two came during his first two years as a Head Coach at Blount High School in Mobile, AL where he set a school record for most wins in a season with (31) leaving the school with the highest winning percentage in his two years as the coach. Coach Wilson has a coaching record of (219 – 72). Coach Wilson teaches Kinesiology and Team Sports at Sparkman High School.
